Read verse 9. Why does Peter affirm the believers’ new identity? (Ex 19:5-6; Dt 10:15) What is the significance of: “chosen people”? (Dt 7:7-8, Mt 22:14) Why does he add “royal” to priesthood? (1 Pe 1:7) What does “holy nation” mean? (Lev 19:2, Lev 20:7) What is special about a believer to God as Peter said in “God’s special possession”?
