Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

  1. What happened to Stephen in the previous passage? What was he accused of? (6:11) Why did Stephen begin his defense with the history of the Old Testament

  2. Who sent Abraham to the Promised Land? (4) Who made a promise that he would possess the land? (5) Who spoke to him concerning his offspring (6)? What was the purpose of 400 years of captivity (7)? What lesson was Stephen trying to teach the religious leaders?

  3. Why did Joseph’s brothers betray him (9)? Who protected Joseph in Egypt (9-10)? What was Stephen trying to teach by telling Joseph’s story?
