About UBF and DuPage UBF

DuPage UBF invites students to the one to one Bible study. We have developed Bible study materials to aid us in studying the Bible systematically. The questions and expository manuscripts are prepared and revised again and again to help us study the Bible itself. We encourage those who come to study the Bible with us to answer the questions in advance to make best out of the personal Bible study. Here are sample questions.

Sample Questions

IN THE BEGINNING

Genesis 1:1-25
Key verse 1:1

1. Read Genesis chapter 1; divide into paragraphs and give titles to the paragraphs.

2. Memorize 1:1. Meditate on the meaning of this verse. Especially think about the significance of: (i) "In the beginning"; (ii) "God created the heaven and the earth." What difference does it make to know that God created all things?

3. What was the state of things before God spoke? When were the earth and waters created? Think about the meaning of (i) formless; (ii) empty; (iii) darkness. Notice the contrast here with the rest of the chapter. What does the "Spirit of God hovering..." suggest?

4. By what instrument did God create the world? How many times do you find the word, "And God said... and it was so?" What does this suggest about God? About his word?

5. Think about God who made an environment for life. What does this suggest about the importance of environment-making?
